The City of Gallup is an incorporated municipal government which abides by all State and Federal laws. The City Charter provisions for five elected positions - Mayor, and four(4) City Councilors - that oversee the policies and practices of the City. The Mayor is elected by all registered voters within the City. The Councilors are elected by the registered voters within the four(4) specific bounded Districts.
